What we do

The student council has one central task – the advocacy of the student body. This job is being pursued within three different layers: The academic codetermination through the student autonomy, as well as within the several events and services being offered.

What we have achieved

The student council represents the student body. Therefore we would like to show you what falls within our academic work and what we have achieved for you during the past years.

Implementation, execution and evaluation of the yearly Bachelor & Master questionnaire
Every year the student council conducts a Bachelor and Master questionnaire for the business administration faculty. These set the foundation for profound decisions regarding your studies as well as help to determine the allocation of funds for research and teaching matters.
Examination review course – Microeconomics A
Since many bachelor business administration students do not feel well prepared for this fourth semester course according to our surveys, we organize a free examination review course for all students.
Midterm Exam ACC 302
To reduce the amount of studying during the end of the third semester we have successfully achieved to set up a midterm exam for the ACC 302 course.
Elimination of one information science module
We successfully achieved to reduce the number of information system courses during the bachelor program from three to two classes. Therefore the amount of ECTS in this module was reduced from 18 to 12 points.

Introduction of the election course
With the elimination of one law module in 2012 a total of four ECTS points were available. The student council achieved to establish one election course allowing the students to choose from over ten different courses and specialize in one area.
Retention of the Law tutorials
Within the frame of financial cuts at the University the law tutorials were supposed to be eliminated even though our bachelor survey clearly showed that the tutorials, compared to other tutorials, have been extremely helpful. We have accomplished to maintain these tutorials.
Law Module scripts
Through our work we have accomplished to implement scripts for all law modules.
Timely separation of the Bachelor thesis and exams during the sixth semester
We have accomplished to reduce the work load during the sixth semester by separating the bachelor thesis from the exams.
