Our self-conception
Preamble
The here stated self-conception is the result of many in depth discussions held in the student council meetings and has been enacted by the former. Firstly it is intended as an internal guide line for our own work on the other hand it seeks to make our work more transparent and accountable for outsiders.
Naturally the self-conception is perpetually changing just like the student council itself.
Thus we want to make sure to confirm and update it regularly and at least once a year.
Fundament of our work
The student council is, correspondingly to §19 of the constitution of the Mannheim university, a committee of the faculty council. On the basis of the national university law we see it also as our duty to encourage the social and intellectual interests for students alongside our work in the different bodies of the university.
Based on this the organizational foundations of our work are specified in our statute.
Objections of our work
It is our main objection to represent the interests of all students within the faculty of business administration to the best of our abilities.
In doing so we particularly strive to improve the overall study conditions for all students.
Status
Being students ourselves we naturally view it as our first duty to represent student interests but we also want to act as mediators between students and professors as well as the other bodies of the university.
